lot of life left in you. >> after the raiders game yesterday afternoon, donny navidad and his friend were hanging around hoping to get his bo jackson jersey autographed. that's when they saw a young, petite woman in section 301. people were pleading for her not to jump, but she did. >> when i seen her falling i kind of grabbed her as she fell. i tried to grab her so she wouldn't bounce. so she hit the le side. the result of that is this is what happened. it's like a charlie horse. >> it left the unidentified bay area woman in critical condition. >> i tried to grab and just lock her in. the force just came down. >> allen martin plea da county deputies say there is no question she would have died if navidad hadn't broken her fall.

sure why the woman jumped. the push to keep the a's and the raiders in town. both teams agreed to short term leasings today. the raiders will stay through 2014. the a's will stay until 2015. both teams want new stadiums. the a's owner would like to move the team to the south pay. california's proposed bullet train is going no where fast. the judge rejected the rail authority's funding plan leaving the project in limbo. the ruling stems from a lawsuit that claimed the plan no longer complies with what voters were promised. president obama just wrapped up a day trip to san francisco. a second stop. just 30 minutes ago the president waved good-bye to the bay area, boarding air force one to los angeles. during his stop here he put a renewed focus on immigration reform.

students now. the story is making headlines coast to coast. the president of the university has vowed to make a full entrant parent investigation into the break down that allowed this to happen and to make any necessary changes. one thing that won't change, however, are the charges against the four individuals who were raced. district attorney said the misdemeanor charges are appropriate in this case. reporting live in san jose, len ramirez, kpix 5. other bay area headlines. flowers and candles mark the spot where a 3-year-old boy was hit and killed yesterday afternoon in san jose. the boy was crossing the street at oak and vine with two other people when they were hit by a car. tore two victims were treated for minor injuries. the driver, we're told, is cooperating with police. check out the damage to a fairy boat that crashed into san francisco's pier 43 this afternoon. we're told the harbor princess lost power as it was coming in to dock. witnesses saw passengers putting on their emergency vest just in case some suffered

minor bumps and bruises. the coast guard is investigating what went wrong. flames and smoke displayed people and their dog. talk two hours to put this out. fortunately, no one was home. in an emotional interview, the family of the palo alto man detained in north korea pleads for him to come home. it has been a month since the 85-year-old was pulled off his plane headed back to the u.s. from north korea. the korean war veteran had just completed a 10-day tour. his family has been in touch with the state department but there are still no answers as to why he is being held. >> mom is ready to fly to beijing and paddle boat across. >> i said i would sit in the street. i would do whatever i could do. he really needs to bat the head of the table for our holidays.

this popular do-it-yourself dna test on friday. now the company is ordered to stop selling it. in its sharply worded warning, it comes from a very fed up fda. >> 23 and it seems to me a privately owned personal by you tech company located in the heart of silicon valley that sells at the direct-to-consumer genetic test where you spit in a tube, mail it back, and in just a few weeks, get more than 250 reports on your dna. from the risk of disease to your ancestry. >> we want you to have teachers best information about what your dna means for you. >> now the fda has accused them of violating federal law in a 3- ladies and gentlemen warning letter. the agency says the company has failed to provide proof its dna test is safe or effective. despite more than 14 face to face and tele communications meetings, hundred usover email exchanges, and dozens of

written communications with the fda since 2009. u.s. regulators have ordered 23 and me to stop selling the test for now or face the consequences, which could put an end to their business. the bio tech has already provided results to more than half a million customers. sales have been brisk since the cost of the test dropped to just a hornbeaks. >> i can find a lot of useful information. >> how useful? that's up to the fda. >> spokesperson with 23 and me says it is committed to fully engaging with with the fda to address the agency's concerns. 23 and me has 15 business days to respond. when we checked the company's website still appears to be taking orders. former cbs news anchor katie couric is joining yahoo has its global anchor. rumors swirled last week that she was in talks. today, yahoo made it official. her role will be to lead a team of reporters to cover events around the world for a new online news operation.

for an east bay high school mourning the loss of its long- time athletic director. our ryan takeo says it is no surprise the man everyone called coach died trying to help someone. >> for 25 years coach john webb was a fixture at kennedy high school. you only have to see a recent yearbook to know how much students loved him. students voted coach most down to earth. >> his quote was i don't know what i want to do when i grow up. i'm still living life like i was a kid. >> david moore was kennedy's head football coach. he saw coach webb friday night at the football game. >> i said man, you look good tonight. he looked happy. wasn't complaining. nothing was hurting. >> on the way home from the game, the car webb was in crashed into another car. webb called 911, then got out to make sure the other driver was okay. a third car hit and killed webb while he was directing traffic. >> it's exactly what coach does. he was concerned with everybody. >> to those who knew him, it's

defending nfc champions san francisco 49ers. good evening, everybody. jon, san francisco this close to winning the super bowl last year. and now they have to work to get back in the tournament. 6-4. lost their last couple games. a good team. beat carolina and new orleans. but one troubling thing these past two games, the offense, under 200 total yards. that's not good enough. >> jon: they have been one dimensional, they have struggled throwing the football. that's an understatement. defenses are starting to frustrate young colin kaepernick. but defensively, the 49ers are still a handful. they are led by their pro bowl defensive tackle justin smith. not only does he make a lot of plays himself, but he chews up blocks. so his linebackers make the plays behind him. and nobody is better than patrick willis and navarro bowman. i can't wait to see these 49ers go up against rg3 and the washington redskins number one
